Step-by-Step Application Guide

Follow this step-by-step Application Guide to apply online and send in the necessary material: |
| 1. Go to CSUMentor , create an account for your application, then logon; |
| 2. Click on Apply online ; |
| 3. Then click on Graduate Admission Applications, for International student, click on International Admission Applications ; |
| 4. Select the semester for which you are seeking admission; |
| 5. Select "San Diego State University Graduate" in the scroll box, then scroll to the bottem of the page and click on the button "Start New Application"; |
| 6. Important Admission information (include Financial aid information) and links are presented here, read them carefully; |
| 7. Then click on "Begin Application for San Diego State Unversity Graduate" at the bottom; |
| 8. Then you can follow the "Next" steps to complete your application; |
Material Requirements
| The following materials should be submitted as a complete package for the priority deadline by January 10, 2012, (for regular US deadline by March 1, 2012, or for regular international deadline by May 1, 2012) to: | |

| (1) | Official transcripts (in sealed envelopes) from all postsecondary institutions attended; |
| Note: · Students who attended SDSU need only submit transcripts for work completed since last attendance. · Students with international coursework must submit both the official transcript and proof of degree. If documents are in a language other than English, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation. |

| (2) | GRE scores (http://www.ets.org, SDSU institution code 4682); |
| (3) | TOEFL or IELTS score, if medium of instruction was in a language other than English (http://www.ets.org, SDSU institution code 4682). |

| (2) | Personal statement of motivating interest for the program; also briefly describe research interests and educational and professional goals. |
| (3) | Curriculum Vitae (not to exceed two pages). |
Optional information:
If you are interested in an industry career path, in addition to the traditional options, the BMI program offers a Professional Science Masters (PSM) option. The PSM option trains students for a fast track to managerial positions in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical/clinical industries. In this option you learn science content along with business and management skills that are required to lead teams of scientists in the industry. The PSM option replaces the master's thesis with an industry internship. For your information San Diego is the largest Biotechnology hub and one of the largest pharmaceutical and medical industry hubs in the US. As such, our program is strategically located to place its graduates in one of the most vibrant industries in the world. PSM students typically have an easier time in finding fulltime and internship positions in the industry.
